My story

A village.
A wider world.
A life of purpose.

The work I do today began with the people who invested in me, and the places that taught me to see more possibilities.

A LIFE BUILT WITH INTENTION.
The beginning / West Oak Lane

I was rich in people who loved me.

I grew up in West Oak Lane, not quite the city, not quite the suburbs. It was a neighborhood where people knew each other and looked after each other.

My babysitter, Ms. Sadie, had me reading and spelling before kindergarten. My teachers gave me more books and problems when I finished early. My mother made sure I had church, choir, dance, Girl Scouts, and plenty of ways to discover what interested me.

Both of my parents worked and built businesses on the side. I learned early that you could create something of your own. I liked organizing outings, making tickets and flyers, figuring out technology, and getting people together.

At thirteen, someone opened a door.

My school's college access program offered a two-week trip to Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. My church raised the money to send me.

“I didn't have a lot of money as a child, but I was rich in experiences and rich in people who loved me.”

That first trip without my parents taught me independence, adaptability, and curiosity. It also taught me that a person's circumstances should not decide how much of the world they get to see.

Learning how people work.

I studied psychology at Susquehanna University, with a minor in speech communications, and spent a semester in London. A juvenile probation internship helped me see how much nurturing, attention, and opportunity shape a young person's life.

Later, in Miami, I learned to sell by listening. Understand the business first. Recommend what actually fits. Help people solve a problem.

Then I learned how businesses grow.

In 2008, I moved to England to help build UK operations. I helped open eight offices in six months, develop recruiting and interview processes, train office administrators, manage up to twenty-five managers, and build a company-wide CRM.

I lived in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Southampton, and Edinburgh. Each place expanded my world. The work showed me how much a capable team can accomplish, and what happens when every question still comes back to one person.

That lesson stayed with me: a useful system makes the work easier to carry forward. It should not depend on one person remembering every answer.

Rebuilding on my own terms.

I returned to Pennsylvania in 2014 and started again. Retail and recruitment led into real estate operations, where I built systems and supported team growth from 2015 to 2022.

I also built a mobile notary business and a transaction management business. Notary work helped fund the down payment on my first home. I trained agents on technology, organized databases, and turned repeated work into clear workflows.

My later experience crossed brokerage, property management, title, lending, and fund operations. The lesson became clearer: complete and document the system deeply enough that other people can use it.

Why I started Leverage Done Wright.

I enjoy helping businesses grow. I wanted to do more of that work, with leverage and efficiency.

Leverage Done Wright brings together operating experience, practical AI, and the ability to turn a goal into a working process. Strategy first. AI second. Results measured.

I care about what works for the business, what the team can actually use, and what gives the owner room to move forward.

Steven's care
still carries on.

My brother Steven Wilkes was fifteen years older than me. He served in the Navy during Desert Storm, became a nurse, and cared for our family.

He taught me to make scrambled eggs, “all in the wrist.” He also showed me that looking after people is something you do, every day.

When he died in 2017, I lost my brother and a second father. In December 2023, I founded Steven's Wings: Global Youth Adventures in his honor.

Today, the mission is to help underserved young people, especially Black and Brown students, gain access to international travel and the wider possibilities it can open.

It is a growing, founder-led effort supported by a small Ambassador Circle. The work starts with relationships, generosity, and a belief that opportunity can change a life.

What guides the next chapter

Freedom creates room.
Purpose gives it direction.

Mexico is home today. I am building a life with meaningful work, time with the people I love, and the ability to keep exploring.

Freedom means having choices. A business with clear systems. A trip that lets you be present. Enough capacity to help someone else see a bigger world.

Leave the Room Travel is part of that life, too. I plan thoughtful journeys for busy professionals and groups, including corporate retreats. You bring the desire to go. I help bring the details together.

“I build systems that create freedom, so freedom can create opportunity.”
